About Me

My name is Natasha Rice and I am a soon to be graduate at the University of Tampa. I am from Long Island, NY, and have  lived in Tampa, FL for the past three years. My career goal is to work in a Public Relations firm or to be a social media advertiser. In public relations I have written various pieces including press releases and news releases. In addition to that, I have conducted two different campaigns for The University of Tampa's Graduate program, and for LifeLink FL. Also, I have a background in advertising. I am proficient at Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, and Premiere.I have created traditional, engagement, interactive, and social media advertisements. I have a strong background in social media analytics.  I have used social media tools, and am very familiar with Instagram's engagement tools. On the side, I enjoy doing freelance photography with my camera. Previously, I did an internship working for the Marriott in hospitality, and I am currently a server there. Creating advertisments and advertising has a very tedious process. When giving a prompt or objective, I begin creating a mind map, or using word association to think of what comes to mind with that particular brand or product. Then I create a mood board and I begin drafting up possible advertisements, changing fonts to make brands/products, and planning out what colors to use. After making multiple copies of the same advertisement, I choose the best one. For organization, I utilize a planner and a calendar, and plan to begin using a social media calendar for a posting schedule.
